Tool
How strong is my password?
Summary. Type a password into this password checker. Four checks run: a password leak check against known breaches, its length, how many guesses it might take, and what patterns it holds. Only the first 5 characters of its hash leave this page, and those are not enough to work out your password. How this works
Box 1Strength check
Box 2Passphrase generator
3Can a password checker leak my password?
It can, if it sends your password to its server, because that server could keep it. This password strength checker estimates on your device, and sends only the first 5 characters of a hash for the breach check. You do not have to take our word for it: on a computer, open your browser's developer tools, choose the Network tab, and watch what the page sends when you press Check. What leaves your device
